2022/10/7 小螺絲釘教師社群心靈饗宴：來自義大醫院鄭勝峯副主委「意外的人生旅途」 WHC-USR Teachers’ Community: A Spiritual Feast Offered by Dr. Seng-feng Jeng in His “An Amazing Journey in Vietnam”

    人生總是有許多的驚奇。就好像走在崎嶇的山路中，一個轉彎，竟是令人詫異的如茵綠草和遠方彩虹。2002年一個偶然的機會，義大醫院鄭勝峰醫師因顯微重建手術的傑出表現，受邀參與越南河內的顯微重建手術義診，從此和越南結下不解之緣。這原不在鄭醫師的人生規劃中，現在卻成了他生命中一道美麗的彩虹。鄭醫師投入越南義診已逾20年，不間斷的付出，帶領台灣義診團隊，每年兩週無償義診，每次義診都能有觸動心中無限的感動。恭喜鄭勝峯副院長獲得2021年美國外科醫師協會(ACS)的「人道主義獎」Pfizer Awards (台灣第一人)！實至名歸！
    在雙十長假前夕的今天下午，現場30位老師及兩位醫學生們享受了一場激勵人心的豐盛心靈饗宴。小螺絲釘們非常感謝鄭醫師長久以來的情誼，今天是過去四年來第四次(107/11，108/5，109/10)前來我們的教師社群，有夥伴老師分享說:鄭副院長的分享，我一次都沒錯過，真實、精彩活出來的生命志業故事，很激勵當老師的我們！鄭副院長述說他豐富的生命故事是如何被他的老師們(羅慧夫醫師、魏福全醫師)啟發，現在藉由他每次的分享也正在影響著許多老師…然後會是更多學生們的生命…這些故事會一直被傳講下去。

Life tends to be full of surprises; just like while hiking on a steep and winding path, then after a turn, a verdant field or a colorful rainbow beyond comes into sight. Out of a sheer opportunity in 2002, Dr. Seng-feng Jeng of E-Da Hospital was invited, due to his excellence in reconstructive microsurgery, to Hanoi, Vietnam for charity operations and the experience started his inseparable tie with Vietnam. This event, unexpected in his career development, has become a radiant rainbow in his life. For over 20 years, Dr. Jeng has been deeply engaged in charity medical treatment in Vietnam, to which he dedicates time and efforts, leading a Taiwanese medical team every year for a two-week long charity medical treatment and unfailingly impressed by numerous touching stories. Congratulations to Dr. Jeng for being honored by the 2021 American College of Surgeons (ACS)/Pfizer Surgical Volunteerism and Humanitarian Award, the first ever in the Taiwanese history to receive this award, which is indeed a full recognition of his contribution. 

  At the noon break before the Double Ten holidays, 30 Wenzao teachers and 2 medical students from E-Da University enjoyed an inspiring spiritual feast. USR volunteers would like to express deep appreciation to Dr. Jeng for his long-term friendship as it was the fourth time in the past four years that Dr. Jeng paid a visit to the teachers’ community (after November 2018, May 2019, and October 2020). A teacher stated, “I have never missed Dr. Jeng’s talks, not even once! The sharing of his meeting the calling of a true and brilliant life of volunteering has encouraged all the teachers here to be mentors of life.” Dr. Jeng’s exciting stories revolved around his mentors, especially Dr. Samuel Noordhoff and Dr. Fu-chuan Wei in their inspiring hands-on service. With his sharing each time, Dr. Jeng extends his influence to more teachers and, through more teachers, to more students…creating more of these never-ending legends.
