2021年11月5日文藻USR計劃—柬埔寨國際志工招募活動開跑.ᐟ.ᐟ (蔡依蓉撰文，楊茱婷譯)

文藻USR小螺絲釘計劃於十一月五日在至善樓十二樓的會議室招募柬埔寨國際志工的人選，並以英文搭配中文來面試。本次面試官由廖俊芳老師、孫韵芳老師以及翁一珍老師擔任。面試過程中老師們扮演起柬埔寨的孩子，請小螺絲釘們立即反應在柬埔寨的孩子們聽不懂英文的狀況下該如何繼續進行教學？並且詢問為什麼想來參與國際志工的服務？如果疫情關係無法飛往柬埔寨是否還願意配合參與線上教學呢？覺得教學上會遇到的困難有什麼⋯諸如此類的問題。

一開始進去面試真的很緊張，但在面試當中可以感受到老師們滿滿溫暖的問候以及對我們和整個USR團隊的期許。國際志工這項活動對我來說是相當難能可貴的經驗，可以藉由彼此不同的教學方法來相互學習。即便只是一場小面試卻足以讓我感到整個團隊的向心力。有一群志同道合的人願意一起朝著同一個目標努力實在是一件很幸福的事.ᐟ.ᐟ

面試尾聲三位老師都分別向大家加油打氣，即便現在疫情肆虐，但仍然希望大家能夠保有初衷進行所有教學，不論是在線上或是實體教學。希望不久的未來大家都能夠從「給予他人幫助」中獲得比「接收他人幫助」更大的快樂和幸福。

Wenzao USR WHC --- the Interview for Cambodia International Volunteer Recruiting on November 5th, 2021 (By Miriam & Julia)

An interview for recruiting Cambodia international volunteers from Wenzao USR WHC took place in Z1209 on November 5th, 2021. During the process, Dr. Melody Liao, Dr. Janny Sun, and Dr. Janet Weng as interviewers interviewed all the volunteers. At the beginning, the interviewers gave the 1st task to them. The volunteers were required to present how they teach in English while the interviewers pretend to be Cambodian children with plenty of unexpected situations. Afterwards, a few questions were asked persistently in both English and Chinese. For instance, why do you want to participate in this program, are you still willing to join this team if the plan of having courses in Cambodia next year is canceled due to the epidemic, what do you think is the most challenging you may need to face during the program, and so on.

I was really nervous at first before having the interview, but since feeling interviewers’ enthusiasm and getting to know what they were looking forward to the following programs, I felt warm and soon released my pressure. To take part in Wenzao USR WHC is definitely a special and unusual opportunity for me. Even it was just a small interview, I could still feel the passion from the whole team.

In the end, Dr. Melody Liao, Dr. Janny Sun, and Dr. Janet Weng hoped that although people were still facing the epidemic, it’s no need to be depressed because there was still something vital that we could do. Moreover, they expected the volunteers to gain happiness by helping others rather than being support by others. Overall, It is extremely wonderful that there are a group of people who holds the same goals and ambition.
