　　「標準化病人」是個謹慎的工作，扮演病人的演員們不能過於自我展現，而失去統一、標準的原則，也容易讓考生(醫學生)判斷失誤。為了讓一般人（非戲劇系學生），且不分老少，都能有參與的機會，戲劇課程的訓練就不能少了，在課程裡能學習到身為演員該做哪些準備？肢體怎麼展現？疼痛程度如何表達？聲音如何運用？怎麼說出台詞？大部份人光是這些基礎練習就已困難重重，現代人身兼多職、壓力過大，連呼吸都出了問題，身體其實給了很多訊息，只是我們習慣忽略。　　完成基礎練習後，更進階的還會談到如何跨越障礙？是身體的障礙？還是心理的障礙？每每上工作坊時，我總會在一開始就提醒學員，千萬不要帶著批判的角度上課，因為你可能會在過程中質疑聽到的、質疑感受到的，甚至質疑自己正在做的練習，最後批判自己，這對自己一點幫助也沒有。我很開心看到總會有學員在最後回饋時說到自己的改變，不管是身體上的變化還是心靈上的，這都會讓我感受到學員們正在努力傾聽自己，這對將要扮演病人角色的演員來說是把重要的鑰匙！

“Standardized patient” is a job that requires careful attention to details. In order to avoid loss of uniformity which may cause the medical students to have error in their judgements, the actors and actresses who play the patients must not be over exaggerated in their performance.

In order to provide opportunities for the young and old general public (students who are not majored in drama) to participate, the training of drama courses is essential. Participants would learn how to show their bodies, how to express their level of pain, how to use their voice, and how to present the script？ Most people have difficulties with these basic exercises because modern people have too many responsibilities, too stressful, and even have problem with their breathing. We always ignore the cautions that our bodies gave, although they gave us the cautions lots of time.

After the basic practice, the more advanced part is how to overcome the obstacles? Is the obstacle physical? Or is it mental? Every time the course start, I will always tell the students never come to class with a critical perspective even though you may have questions about what you hear, what you feel, or even what you are doing in the process. When you criticize yourself, there is nothing good that comes from it. I am glad when students are giving me the feedback, they talk about the change in their bodies, no matter physically or mentally. All above, it makes me feel that our students are trying to listen to their heart, and it is an important key for the actors of standardized patients.
