東南亞國際志工研習及慶賀 （林建勳老師撰文）

2020年10月的最後一天是文藻WHC-USR東南亞國際志工團的歡慶日。邀請了高榮的張素玉組長、林約酉督導及鄭文惠隊長等三位擔任培訓講師，為文藻加入國際志工的新同學們說明東南亞志工服務之緣起及內容。

文藻WHC-USR自2013起就和高榮合作，邀請學校中來自東南亞各國的學生，結合課程及講習訓練，到高榮醫院擔任外語志工。這個專業服務，一方面讓外國學生有進一步接觸台灣社會的機會，促進其華語能力與跨文化學習，另一方面，也使得赴院就診的台灣新住民/移工朋友們能得到協助。長期執行下來，不但創造了社會、醫院及學校三贏的結果，同時也成就了優質團隊的傳承和雙方合作夥伴的情誼。

今天的培訓和聯誼在歡樂用餐及歌聲中結束，大家紛紛加入了小螺絲釘團隊的Line群組，準備投入自己的熱忱為社會做出貢獻。

Southeast Asian International Volunteer Workshop and Celebration (translated by Lanis)

The last day of October 2020 is the celebration day for WHC-USR Southeast Asian International Volunteer team. We invited chief of Social Workers’ Room Su-Yu, Chang, Supervisor Yue-You, Lin, and team leader Wen-Huei , Cheng from Kaohsiung Veterans General Hospital as our trainers to introduce the content and origin of Southeast Asian Volunteering for our new students who joined international volunteering group.

Since 2013, Wenzao has cooperated with Kaohsiung Veterans General Hospital, recruiting students from Southeast Asia, combining courses and training, and inviting them to be foreign language speaking volunteers in the hospital. Foreign students do not only get a lot of exposure to Taiwanese society but their Chinese ability and cross-cultural knowledge are also enhanced by offering the professional services. On the other hand, Taiwanese new immigrants and migrant workers patients are being assisted when they need medical treatment from the hospital. From a long-term perspective, this project does not only creat a win-win outcome for the society, hospital and school, but it also makes an achievement to pass on the experience of our outstanding team and friendship between the partners and us.

The training course and party ended with thejoyous meal and songs. Everyone joined The Tiny Screws Groups on Line. They are ready to devote their enthusiasm and make contribution to the society.
