文藻國際醫療志工USR 團隊本學期規劃了兩門行動導向的專業服務學習課程，分別是「國際專業服務領導」與「商管專業服務學習」。有別於一般的傳統課程，服務學習課程相當注重同學們專業具體的力行與實踐學習，同時也期待能填補服務場域的需求，以達互惠多贏。因此USR 團隊連結規劃了三個不同在地關懷的服務場域，分別是 高雄市立小港醫院-委託高雄醫學大學經營、高雄榮民總醫院與義大醫院，三個醫院各有不同的服務需求，讓同學們依據自己的專長、專業以及交通考量自行選擇與安排。

為了先備服務的內涵，同學們必須先完成新進志工訓練，方能取得服務的資格與機會。很開心地看到同學們，願意利用週末及課餘時間不畏辛勞地接受志工訓練及加入USR服務團隊，如此熱情的學習態度與服務精神，真的讓團隊老師們感動不已！

我們相信今天這些願意加入USR團隊的小螺絲釘們，未來定也將能抱著感恩與關懷的心，成為願意履行CSR的社會公民！

This semester, Wenzao’s USR Volunteer Medical Team has implemented two new professional-level courses. Unlike other similar types of programs, these two action-oriented courses, “International Professional Service and Leadership”, and “Business Management and Professional Service”, will implement a more practical approach to learning. Throughout the learning period, students will acquire important skills that they will later need in order to navigate the professional landscape. At the same time, they will also help to important gaps that exist in the medical service industry.
The USR team has chosen three medical centers to pay host to prospective students: Hsiaogang Hospital, Kaohsiung Veterans General Hospital, and E-Da Hospital. After making a proper assessment of their own personal goals and transportation needs, students will choose the hospital best suited to their own individual needs.

In order to maintain the high-standard of excellence demanded by these courses, students will first be required to go through new volunteer training. After being deemed qualified to take on any service jobs, they will then be allowed to actively participate in the program. As teachers, it is an incredible thrill to students giving up what little free time they have left in order to attend volunteer training and participate in the USR team. Their unwavering enthusiasm for academia and dedication towards service has been an inspiration to all of us here on the faculty.

We believe that the future of our society rests in the hands of these young minds which we lovingly refer to as “the small screws”. As they move forward into the world, they will help to create a world occupied by a new brand of social citizen; one that is gracious, caring and exemplifies the true spirit of a CSR!
